Do you serve apps on Thanksgiving? 🌿These pear, walnut and endive salad cups are the perfect fall bite plus are very easy to make and pack well if your looking for a dish to bring to the family meal. 🍂Recipe below...

Blue Cheese Pear & Walnut Endive Salad Boats
makes 12
.
Ingredients:
12 endive leaves
1 ripe pear
1/2 cup blue cheese
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
1 tablespoon chopped chives
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
Kosher salt to taste

Instructions:
1. Slice pear and cut into bite sized pieces into a bowl.
2. Crumble the cheese into the bowl
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine. Taste for seasoning.
4. Spoon salad into endive leaves and arrange them on a platter. Garnish with more chopped chives and pomegranate seeds.

Do you get extra fancy with Thanksgiving table set

Do you get extra fancy with Thanksgiving table settings or keep it basic? 🍂🍎🍁 I think I try to aim for a happy middle ground - some fall produce and pretty linens and a few candles is usually my limit. Must be all the years sitting at the kids table, eating off of paper plates at my very large Italian-American family Thanksgiving gatherings. 🦃 I swear some years it was 50 people strong - all aunts/uncles and first cousins. I miss those days! So much good food and at least a dozen pies! 🥧🥧🥧Followed by a v. competitive game of scrabble if I was lucky enough to get a seat with my grandma and the “the 3 witches” as my mom and her sisters were affectionately (or not? 🤔) called. 😂 Good times.
